The Art of Conservation

Details: Terry's wood sculpture of two elephant seals
battling for dominance was selected for the prestigious international
exhibition of the Artists for Conservation Foundation. This fourth annual
exhibition, The Art of Conservation 2011, will be presented in conjunction
with the first annual ten day art festival at Grouse mountain resort in
Vancouver, B.C., Canada.
Grouse Mountain is one of Vancouver's premier attractions, set on mountain-top,
accessible by gondola and overlooking Vancouver and the ocean, and was
highlighted during the 2010 Winter Olympics. With wonderful facilities
for art display, seminars, social events, a theater, fine dining, nature
trails and a wildlife refuge with Timber Wolves and Grizzly Bears.
Some highlights of this year's event include AFC's fourth annual juried
art exhibit of approximately 75 artworks, film premiere, art workshops,
lectures, and demonstrations (all of which will include Terry's participation),
a Gala Fundraising and awards dinner with a keynote presentation by Robert
Bateman, involvement from First Nations, and much more.
